Okay, time needs to just stop now...our little Miss Raegan is growing up way too fast! This month has been full of adventures for her and she is leading the way. She's officially a walker now - or shall I say runner - and loves to explore her surroundings. The beginning of the month started out with some spills and a nice goose egg on her head, but she has gotten much better at avoiding the falls and spills now.
Her other new adventure is finding her voice! Once she figures out to form words, this little girl is going to be a chatter box. She wakes us all up to her sweet chatter - okay, not so sweet at 5am, but I'm being a nice mommy in this blog! :) I will have to say that her official first word is "dada" of course, but I'm working on the "mama" harder than I've worked at anything else in my life! haha!
Miss Raegan has also found a new friend in her cabbage patch doll we've named Penny. This reminds me of myself as a little girl when I had a family of cabbage patch dolls. Raegan doesn't like to go far without her Penny and when she sees her she lights up with smiles. It's too cute!
Now with Raegan walking more and more, the park has become a lot more fun for her. She is taking off, chasing the big kids, crawling through the cubby holes and through the tunnels. We have to go outside or to the park at least a few times a day, she loves it so much!
We're going to try and make this last month stretch and go as long as possible before little Miss Raegan turns one. I'm certainly not ready to call her 1 just yet and keep telling people "I just had a baby" which of course is a lie and was almost a year ago! I can't believe it and am in complete denial that she is aging. Although it is beyond fun, it's bitter sweet to see our little baby grow up and become a little lady!
Enjoy this month's photos and videos of little Miss Raegan and her adventures!!
Well little Miss Raegan is growing up so fast! She's an active little thing and will be walking here in no time. This month has been full of action and she is loving the fact that she can get to where she wants to go now!
Raegan is now able to enjoy more activities at the park and is in love with the baby slide. She crawls up and down the steps with no fear and loves to slide down, giggling the entire time! And of course she loves watching the bigger kids and gets a kick out of the things they do. She wants to be a big kid SO bad!
We've also taken little Miss Raegan on a few trips this month. She went to Lake San Antonio for a 4-day camping trip with the family and got to see her Grandma and Grandpa Kelly and her Uncle Matt and cousin Austen. She had a blast crawling around the campsite getting nice and dirty! :) We also took her down to Bakersfield to meet even more family! She was a rock star for the 5 hour drive both ways and showed me that I need to stop stressing about traveling and new environments. Raegan is a trooper and just goes with the flow!
This month Raegan has definitely mastered crawling and is gearing up to walk in probably a matter of days. She loves her walker and cruising around the furniture. She's even taken a few steps on her own! Unfortunately I have yet to catch that on video, but I have the camera handy now to catch those first few wobbly steps! We're enjoying this active phase and taking her out to the parks more often. She loves to be outside and we're patiently waiting for it to cool down so she can enjoy her outside toys.
Stay tuned for more updates and enjoy this month's photos!
We knew it wouldn't take long for little Miss Raegan to get to walking, but this new toy is going to make that a reality real soon. She just loves her new walker and cruising around the house.
After months and months of standing (or shall I say laying or sitting) on the sidelines watching the big kids play at the park, little Miss Raegan has now started to join in the fun! With no fear, she took on the slide steps like a champ. Granted in this video she got stuck at the top, it didn't take her long to overcome that last step and get to her goal of the slide! And after her adventure on the slide, she enjoyed the park swing with her friend Alyssa pushing her.

It's official...little Miss Raegan is on the move and is not slowing down anytime soon! We definitely have an active one on our hands and now that she knows she can get to where she wants to go, she is definitely doing so! She loves to crawl to her destination and pull herself up to stand. Her fav thing to do these days is stand at her toy box and pull all of her toys out - this is thanks to Grammy who taught her this fun game! I don't think the crawling thing will last much longer since she loves to stand and walk around furniture or walk holding our hands. Hopefully we won't have too early of a walker!!
This month has been much of the same for the little miss - she's active as can be, growing super fast and exploring the world around her. As our previous post states, she finally got some professional pictures taken - much to her dismay. But they turned out great! A big accomplishment this month is her first teeth! She now has two nice chompers on the bottom and I think the top will make their arrival shortly. Teething was not so much fun for her, but she made it through and now has some gorgeous pearly whites!
With these new teeth, she has also decided that she has just about had it with the mushy baby food and is ready for big girl food, so we've been introducing more foods and letting her feed herself. It's quite an adventure and takes twice as long to get through meals, but it's a lot of fun to see her try new things - especially ones she doesn't like!!
We're departing for Raegan's first camping & boating trip in a few days. We'll see how she likes that experience!! Enjoy this month's photos...we slacked on taking photos this month, so I crammed a month's worth of photos in one day - hence the same outfit she has on in most of the pix :)
Well, I figured it was about time to get Raegan's photo taken by a professional...even though we have a fancy camera and take about 100 pictures a day! So, since we're not rolling in money, I booked us an appointment at the mall photo place. I figured they could do a decent job and it wouldn't cost too much.
I of course got my hopes up and had grandiose expectations for how these photos would turn out. After finding the "perfect" outfit and hair clips, we were all set for the big day. And Raegan even cooperated with a later than normal morning nap, so things were looking good! That was until Miss Raegan met the photographer and all hell broke loose.
She just starred and starred at the photographer and then proceeded to cry and throw her newly developed tantrum right there on the floor. She DID NOT want to sit down or do anything we wanted her to. The best we could do was get her a stool so she could stand up. All the while my mom and I, as well as all the passersby watching through the window, tried to do anything and everything to get her to smile. Luckily the photographer has done this before and captured what she could and we ended up with a few good shots.
Lesson learned: don't have expectations of great photos when dealing with a child. :) Enjoy the photos!
It's official, little Miss Raegan is now a crawler! She started out on Thursday morning the 28th with just a few crawl "steps" and by the end of the day she was movin' all around! I do think that she still enjoys staying put, but now she knows if she really wants to get somewhere she can get there herself. She does however, love to pull up and stand on things, so I don't think walking is too far off, but I'm crossing my fingers that she isn't an early walker. Here is a video of her crawling to daddy!!
