Just like her mother, little Miss Raegan had a week long birthday celebration full of family and friends! She started her birthday off at Funtastic - a little tumbling gym for toddlers - with her buddy Ben and Uncle Boogs (Jonathan. I was worried how she would do since she didn't like the big bounce house place the week prior, but she LOVED it! She cruised around with her birthday crown on and definitely had a blast.
After her adventures tumbling, she got to open gifts from some of us and try her hand at diving into a cake. Much to all of our dismay she didn't care for the birthday song or her cake! We tried our best to get her to dive in, but nothing. She did however want the rest of us to taste it and kept trying to share. It was cute, but not all that messy! As the week continued, little Miss Raegan was showered with love from all kinds of family in town for the Thanksgiving holiday. She was timid at first, but definitely enjoyed all the attention ... and even more birthday gifts!! We also took the time to finally take some much needed professional photos of both Raegan for her 1st birthday and of us as a family. We're eager to get the photos in and share with everyone!
And to entertain all her family that was in town, we had a 2nd go at birthday cake. My Aunt Sharon made an adorable cake just for Raegan and this cake was much more acceptable to her and she wasn't as scared. Granted, she didn't tear into it as we would have all loved, but she did eat more of it. She apparently is a dainty little eater and there wasn't much mess to attend to. The 2nd go around was much more successful! Overall, little Miss Raegan had a wonderful 1st birthday. Thank you to everyone who showered her with love and made the trip up to see us!

Happy Birthday!!!
It's official, little Miss Raegan is a year old! I can't freaking believe it. I look back and remember how scared I was for her arrival and how I had no idea how to deal with this little being and now she's a little person with a BIG personality! It's amazing how fast time flies and how much she has learned and grown. Raegan is definitely a precious one and has blessed us by being such a good baby. As scared as I was, I am so lucky to have gotten an easy one!!
This month - just as all the others - has been full of adventures for our little one. She has gotten much more active, which has made those chubby lil cheeks thin out a bit. I was hoping my chubby lil thighs would follow, but I'm still waiting. She has also tried out a few more words, but nothing that has made any sense except "dada," "uh-oh" and "yes". "Mama" or "Mommy" are not on her agenda for right now. Miss Raegan has also learned how to give hugs which is absolutely the most adorable thing in the freaking world! The coolest part about watching her learn is knowing that she understands things now. When I say something or ask a question, she really knows what is going on. It's amazing to watch and so fun to actually be able to interact more and more.
Raegan also got to experience the zoo for the first time. Since we always call her Monkey, we thought it was fitting to make her pose with her kind!! :) Luckily I have never visited the San Diego Zoo and had nothing to compare it to because apparently the SAC zoo is not too vast. But, for an 11 month old with a 15 minute attention span, it was perfect! Someday we'll take her to the "World Famous" San Diego Zoo!!
Again, I can't believe a year has gone by, but what a wonderful one it has been. I could never understand it when my friends talked about how fast it goes or how much love you can have for your child, but now (of course) I completely get it and can't get enough of her! I love this little person so much and I am like a little kid on Christmas Eve every night, anxious for what she will do the next day. Happy Birthday Little Miss Raegan - we love you so very much!!

Happy Halloween!!
Little Miss Raegan wasn't quite sure about her first Halloween, but we tried to make the most of it! We ventured out to Old Town Sacramento, which was nice for us to finally get out and see the town we live in! It's such a cute, quaint area with a lot of history. They had several businesses participating in the trick or treating activity, but because Miss Raegan is so young, she only made it to one shop. She was more interested in the bear outside the shop than the actual activity of trick or treating, which of course is to be expected. But, of course I can't miss out on a photo op!!
On actual Halloween, little Miss Raegan ventured out again in her costume much to her dismay. We joined the neighborhood kids and they just LOVED Raegan. They wanted to carry her around and take her to every house. And again, because she's so young, we only made it to 2-3 houses, but her new friends made sure they collected candy for her basket! It was so cute and probably more fun for us, but again, made for great pictures!!

11 Months of Adventures!
Okay, time needs to just stop now...our little Miss Raegan is growing up way too fast! This month has been full of adventures for her and she is leading the way. She's officially a walker now - or shall I say runner - and loves to explore her surroundings. The beginning of the month started out with some spills and a nice goose egg on her head, but she has gotten much better at avoiding the falls and spills now.
Her other new adventure is finding her voice! Once she figures out to form words, this little girl is going to be a chatter box. She wakes us all up to her sweet chatter - okay, not so sweet at 5am, but I'm being a nice mommy in this blog! :) I will have to say that her official first word is "dada" of course, but I'm working on the "mama" harder than I've worked at anything else in my life! haha!
Miss Raegan has also found a new friend in her cabbage patch doll we've named Penny. This reminds me of myself as a little girl when I had a family of cabbage patch dolls. Raegan doesn't like to go far without her Penny and when she sees her she lights up with smiles. It's too cute!
Now with Raegan walking more and more, the park has become a lot more fun for her. She is taking off, chasing the big kids, crawling through the cubby holes and through the tunnels. We have to go outside or to the park at least a few times a day, she loves it so much!
We're going to try and make this last month stretch and go as long as possible before little Miss Raegan turns one. I'm certainly not ready to call her 1 just yet and keep telling people "I just had a baby" which of course is a lie and was almost a year ago! I can't believe it and am in complete denial that she is aging. Although it is beyond fun, it's bitter sweet to see our little baby grow up and become a little lady!
Enjoy this month's photos and videos of little Miss Raegan and her adventures!!

10 Months of Madness
Well little Miss Raegan is growing up so fast! She's an active little thing and will be walking here in no time. This month has been full of action and she is loving the fact that she can get to where she wants to go now!
Raegan is now able to enjoy more activities at the park and is in love with the baby slide. She crawls up and down the steps with no fear and loves to slide down, giggling the entire time! And of course she loves watching the bigger kids and gets a kick out of the things they do. She wants to be a big kid SO bad!
We've also taken little Miss Raegan on a few trips this month. She went to Lake San Antonio for a 4-day camping trip with the family and got to see her Grandma and Grandpa Kelly and her Uncle Matt and cousin Austen. She had a blast crawling around the campsite getting nice and dirty! :) We also took her down to Bakersfield to meet even more family! She was a rock star for the 5 hour drive both ways and showed me that I need to stop stressing about traveling and new environments. Raegan is a trooper and just goes with the flow!
This month Raegan has definitely mastered crawling and is gearing up to walk in probably a matter of days. She loves her walker and cruising around the furniture. She's even taken a few steps on her own! Unfortunately I have yet to catch that on video, but I have the camera handy now to catch those first few wobbly steps! We're enjoying this active phase and taking her out to the parks more often. She loves to be outside and we're patiently waiting for it to cool down so she can enjoy her outside toys.
Stay tuned for more updates and enjoy this month's photos!

On the Move
We knew it wouldn't take long for little Miss Raegan to get to walking, but this new toy is going to make that a reality real soon. She just loves her new walker and cruising around the house.

New Found Adventure at the Park
After months and months of standing (or shall I say laying or sitting) on the sidelines watching the big kids play at the park, little Miss Raegan has now started to join in the fun! With no fear, she took on the slide steps like a champ. Granted in this video she got stuck at the top, it didn't take her long to overcome that last step and get to her goal of the slide!

Mover & Shaker at 9 Months!!
It's official...little Miss Raegan is on the move and is not slowing down anytime soon! We definitely have an active one on our hands and now that she knows she can get to where she wants to go, she is definitely doing so! She loves to crawl to her destination and pull herself up to stand. Her fav thing to do these days is stand at her toy box and pull all of her toys out - this is thanks to Grammy who taught her this fun game! I don't think the crawling thing will last much longer since she loves to stand and walk around furniture or walk holding our hands. Hopefully we won't have too early of a walker!!
This month has been much of the same for the little miss - she's active as can be, growing super fast and exploring the world around her. As our previous post states, she finally got some professional pictures taken - much to her dismay. But they turned out great! A big accomplishment this month is her first teeth! She now has two nice chompers on the bottom and I think the top will make their arrival shortly. Teething was not so much fun for her, but she made it through and now has some gorgeous pearly whites!
With these new teeth, she has also decided that she has just about had it with the mushy baby food and is ready for big girl food, so we've been introducing more foods and letting her feed herself. It's quite an adventure and takes twice as long to get through meals, but it's a lot of fun to see her try new things - especially ones she doesn't like!!
We're departing for Raegan's first camping & boating trip in a few days. We'll see how she likes that experience!! Enjoy this month's photos...we slacked on taking photos this month, so I crammed a month's worth of photos in one day - hence the same outfit she has on in most of the pix :)

Finally Some Professional Photos
Well, I figured it was about time to get Raegan's photo taken by a professional...even though we have a fancy camera and take about 100 pictures a day! So, since we're not rolling in money, I booked us an appointment at the mall photo place. I figured they could do a decent job and it wouldn't cost too much.
I of course got my hopes up and had grandiose expectations for how these photos would turn out. After finding the "perfect" outfit and hair clips, we were all set for the big day. And Raegan even cooperated with a later than normal morning nap, so things were looking good! That was until Miss Raegan met the photographer and all hell broke loose.
She just starred and starred at the photographer and then proceeded to cry and throw her newly developed tantrum right there on the floor. She DID NOT want to sit down or do anything we wanted her to. The best we could do was get her a stool so she could stand up. All the while my mom and I, as well as all the passersby watching through the window, tried to do anything and everything to get her to smile. Luckily the photographer has done this before and captured what she could and we ended up with a few good shots.
Lesson learned: don't have expectations of great photos when dealing with a child. :) Enjoy the photos!

And We're Crawling...
It's official, little Miss Raegan is now a crawler! She started out on Thursday morning the 28th with just a few crawl "steps" and by the end of the day she was movin' all around! I do think that she still enjoys staying put, but now she knows if she really wants to get somewhere she can get there herself. She does however, love to pull up and stand on things, so I don't think walking is too far off, but I'm crossing my fingers that she isn't an early walker.
Here is a video of her crawling to daddy!!

Busy Bee at 8 Months!
Oh my goodness has this been a busy month for Miss Raegan!! She has become an active little thing and doing something new every day! It makes for great entertainment to watch her learn something new. She likes to study what we do and by the next day she's doing her new trick. I didn't know she was capable of this and quickly learned so when I was playing with her by sticking my tongue out and the next day that was all she would do!! It was adorable and unfortunately never got caught on camera or video :( And as most kids do, she will not repeat it on demand now. I'll catch it one day.
Along with her new tongue trick, little Miss Raegan is giving kisses, clapping her hands, waving bye-bye and standing and walking around furniture. She has pretty much lost interest in trying to learn how to crawl and just wants to stand and "cruise" around all the time. Although when she is on the floor she rolls all over the room to get around. I'm also determined to get her to say "mama" and have gotten babbles that could easily be interpreted as mama, but could also be gibberish. I'm going with "mama" :) There's a video on her photo link so you can judge for yourself!
This month was also Raegan's first trip camping. She had a lot of fun and was such a good baby!! She has also made lots of new friends in our mom group. Raegan thinks she is 2+ years old though and tries to run around with the big kids. I have to restrain her at the park. She has started to stand up on the park toys now and looks around at all the kids. She loves this and squeals the entire time. It's adorable!
We're excited to see what is next to come in her arsenal of tricks. She keeps us entertained every day and brings lots of smiles to our faces. Enjoy this month's photos and videos!!

Happy Little Camper
Raegan is officially a camper! We took her on her first camping trip and she had a great time! Best of all - she slept very well!! Even better than at home, so now I'm thinking we may move into the motor-home permanently!! The camping trip was part of a family annual fishing derby and there was quite a big group. We had a lot of fun and Raegan won a t-shirt for being the youngest camper!! We're happy to know she enjoys camping since we have a trip coming up in August!

Active at 7 Months!
Well it's time for yet another monthly update. These are coming way too fast!! Little Miss Raegan is now 7 months old and is becoming a little mover! She's been through a lot this month and is adjusting well. The move to Sacramento threw her for a loop, but she's slowly coming around. Not only was her environment changed, but she's going through a lot of new changes. She's way more active now, standing up while holding on to things, diving after toys, getting ready to crawl and slowly breaking in some teeth! I'd say that's a lot for a lil' 7 month old to take in just a few short weeks. She's handling it like a pro and entertaining us all daily.
Raegan is also enjoying the 24-7 attention she now gets with living with her Grammy and Nonno. Not a moment goes by that she isn't talked to, sung to or played with. Although she is still a mommy's girl and won't let anyone but me put her to bed! Hopefully that will change soon. Overall, this month has been quite exciting and we're almost positive Miss Raegan will be crawling in just a few short weeks. She's definitely ready!
Check out photos from this month and stay tuned for news of her on the move!

Raegan's First Modeling Contract
Wednesday, June 8, 2011
Hello Sacramento, Raegan is Here!
Well, we did it - we left sunny San Diego and moved up north to Sacramento to start a new life for our little family. Raegan was unsure at first, but has now gotten back into her routine and is adjusting great. She's made a new friend with Kelsey the dog and loves to watch her run and play. Kelsey on the other hand is still trying to understand that she has to share some attention!!
We've gotten off to a good start with the new business as well. Hayden started this week and has already completed one demo wheel for a new account that has some great potential. Our fingers are crossed it turns into a solid account. The phone has also been ringing with interest from potential customers.
So, things are looking good and we're enjoying it here. I've already joined a women's soccer team and Hayden is scoping out the men's leagues to find a team. Soon enough we'll be enjoying the hot summer days here and getting out on the boat!!
We'll keep you updated on our new adventure in Northern California and how little Miss Raegan grows up in this new town!

Big 6 Months!
Every month I write this update I can't believe Raegan is another month older! She's growing up so fast already! I want to hit the pause button an enjoy this as long as possible...guess that is why women have more than one kid!!!
This month has been full of adventures for little Miss Raegan. She's concurred the solid food thing and loves her oatmeal, carrots and sweet potatoes - not the peas so much, but I can't blame her because that was the veggie I hated the most as a kid. We'll be introducing more tasty food here soon. And as cruel parents often do, we let her taste a lemon and enjoyed the sour face!! But she loved it and dived in for more!! haha.
Raegan is also much more active now rolling over mostly from her belly to her back because she LOVES to be on her back and play, but she has rolled from her back a few times. She likes to go halfway and just chill. I'm fine with not so much belly time because that will keep the crawling at bay a little longer! :) She is also sitting up much better and reaching and grabbing for toys...and remote controls. Not sure why the remote is so enticing, but she will dive for it every time!
Raegan also went on her very first airplane this month and was of course a little angel! She was highly entertained by daddy, Uncle Frankie and the other passengers to even notice where she was. It was great since we'll be flying on our own next weekend!
She had a very busy month with both the Kelly family and the Miano family and is now fully spoiled and will not let me leave her by herself without whining! But she did great with all the new family she met. She also met her new best friend Kelsey and would giggle every time she licked her face and feet! Good thing she isn't afraid of her since we'll be living with her in a week's time!
It's been an eventful month and will end with our move to Sacramento. Luckily Raegan is too young to know we're taking her away from the beautiful beach, but I'm sure she'll have words for us when she's older and knows she lived just a block away from it! We're excited for our adventure and to start a new life for ourselves up north.
Enjoy this month's photos and videos and watching little Miss Raegan's cheeks take over her face!

My First Mother's Day
Well my first mother's day was absolutely perfect! It felt really odd to be celebrated today since it was my first, but I of course took to it well! Hayden was wonderful and gave me a full day of relaxation as a gift - a massage, foot scrub and a facial! Now, I just have to find the time to go get all of that done before our move!
We spent our morning watching soccer, sipping mimosas and playing with Raegan in bed. It was the best start to our day! Then off to Orange County to see the family and celebrate Grandpa Kelly's 80th birthday and mother's day! It was great to spend the day with family and Raegan had a blast!
Being a new mom, I have realized just how wonderful my own mother is and how much work she really did to make me who I am. I hope I can be all my mom is to me to Miss Raegan!

And We're Rolling!
This week has been very busy for little Miss Raegan. She's now rolling over...finally! I was getting worried she was a lazy bum, but I will now eat my words. She's rolling over from her back to her stomach now and we'll now have to watch her 24-7! Check out her new skill!

Solid Foods Are a Hit!!
It's official, Miss Raegan is a big girl and eating - and actually enjoying - solid foods! It took just a week of persistence, but she's now a fan of oatmeal and rice cereal. And boy are these foods tasty! Ha! The most bland things I've ever tasted, but she's a fan and it's a fun new activity for us. Check out how she dives at the spoon now!

Coming Into Her Own At 5 Months
Little Miss Raegan is now 5 months old and it's so hard to believe! She is definitely growing fast and developing her own adorable personality. She is a very happy baby full of smiles and laughter, but definitely stubborn like her parents - she knows what she wants and when she wants it and if you don't listen, watch out! We've quickly caved and just give her what she wants! This will bite us in the future, but we can't bare to hear that cry!
This month has been full of activity and excitement for Miss Raegan. She has begun sitting up on her own and is finally interested and entertained by toys, which helps mom out a lot and gives me at least 10 minutes to get things done. We tried solid foods, but true to her developing persona, Princess Raegan was just not having it. Apparently she will let me know when she is ready! Raegan has also outgrown her swaddle blanket at night, which was nerve racking for us because she slept so well at night with it. But she has done okay without it and is still sleeping through the night.
And lastly, our little one is working on her first teeth. They aren't yet visible, but we can feel the little bumps on her gums and she's a tad more fussy than normal. I hope they come in soon and don't drag on like this for long. But she's taking it like a champ and will soon be flashing those pearly whites in her photos!
Enjoy this month's photos and videos. We'll keep you updated on new adventures in Raegan land throughout the next month!

4 Months and Growing!
Well it's true what they say, time sure does fly by! We can't believe little Miss Raegan is 4 months old today. She has grown a little bit and keeps getting called small, but she is just perfect to us. Today's doctor visit went well and she took the next round of shots like a champ! She was much more friendly with the doctor this time and was showing off her smiling and squealing abilities. She weighed in at 12 lbs and was 24 inches long. So far she's gained about a pound a month. I think we'll introduce some rice cereal this month and I'm sure she'll start plumping up in no time and we'll get a true workout carrying her around!
This month has been a lot of fun watching her progress and do new things, such as laughing, grabbing at toys and playing in her jumperoo. She's a very active little girl, but we're still waiting for the rolling over and sitting up to start. I'm sure she'll start that soon and be running around the house in no time!
Raegan continues to brighten every single day of ours and is the biggest joy in our lives. Enjoy the photos and a few videos of our precious little Raegan on our photo site:

Miss Giggles!
Well Raegan FINALLY gave us some serious giggles and now they keep coming! It's so great to hear this little laugh and I just can't get enough. And along with her giggles is her never ending chatter. She has definitely found her voice and is enjoying hearing herself squeal and talk. Raegan continues to entertain us and bless us with new tricks every day!

Bye Bye Newborn. Raegan is 3 Months Old!
Well someone told me that once Raegan turns 3 months old she is no longer considered a newborn. So sad, but so exciting as well. I can't believe she is 3 months old today! Time definitely is flying by. She is absolutely amazing and keeps us entertained every day. I'd like to say that she is getting really big, but even though she's not considered a "newborn" she's still holding on to those newborn clothes. She's just about to grow out of them, but most of them still fit. It's nice for me because we received so many newborn size clothes for the shower and I don't have the next size! Guess I have to hit the stores and start shopping. Darn!
So this month we have had Raegan on the move! She is a big socialite and loves, loves, loves to be out of the house. So much so that she is a much happier baby out of the house and lets us know by screaming while at home :) It's joyful and definitely makes our neighbors happy! She has been out to the beach, on some nature walks in the area, a few restaurants and lots of friend's houses. We have loved the fact that Raegan does so well out and about so that we don't have to completely give up our lives.
The best part about this month is all the smiles and now all the talking! Raegan blessed us with her first giggle and ever since, we've been dancing around making funny faces to try to get her to do it again! She will someday, but until then she is all smiles and coos. The other day she "talked" for almost a half hour! Adorable!
And this month Hayden purchased a nice camera, so the pictures are plentiful!! Check out all of Raegan's antics this month. Enjoy!

Raegan Hits the Beach
Amazingly the weather here in San Diego is much better during the winter than it was the entire summer. So on a nice afternoon in the mid seventies, we decided to take a stroll down to the beach and introduce Raegan to the sand and the ocean for the first time. She was passed out the entire walk, but being the determined parents we are (or mean spirited), we woke her up and made her play for some serious photo opps! And along the way we found a small soccer ball which made for Raegan's first soccer pix. We absolutely love these photos and Raegan didn't cry at all...guess she'll be a beach lover like her parents!

Gymboree Time!
After Raegan's first Gymboree class I was a bit nervous about taking her again. It's not fun when your child is the only one freaking out and you can't calm her down! But this round was a great success! It was a Sunday, so no other moms decided to go. It was great to have the one-on-one time and Raegan loved it. Hayden also go to come along to experience all the fun. She didn't cry at all and was super attentive to the instructor. And after the class she immediately improved her attention to toys! I guess these classes really do help them progress. We'll see how she does after a month of them!

Raegan Took Her Shots Like a Champ...Sorta!
Today was a tough day, but Raegan and I both survived her first shots. I know she needs them, but boy is it hard to see her be poked and cry! She actually cried more before the shots than after, which was fun for me since it was her first time to this doctor. She apparently is afraid of that office or something. She screamed the entire time. Then when she got her shots she had a very new cry - it sounded like she was shocked more than in pain. Poor thing! But she was a champ and rested well soon after.
I had plans to attend her first Gymboree class to, but was wary of how she would be after her shots. She seemed like herself so I decided to go...but not before she had a poo explosion and then decided to pee all over everything while I changed her! I guess she was showing me who was boss and telling me she didn't appreciate being poked! :)
We ended up attending her class since she seemed up for it, but again, I was proven wrong! She enjoyed the first 10-15 minutes, was a bit overwhelmed by everything and once one baby started crying it was all over from there. But overall it was a great experience and I got suckered into signing her up. We'll see how she likes it next time.
I will say, a morning of shots and an afternoon of gymboree sure did wear her out! She passed out! I'm so glad they don't have to get shots every month. Raegan was a champ and conquered her first shots. Let's hope next round are just as easy.
2 Months Old and Growing!
Wow, time sure does fly when you have a little one! I can't believe Raegan is 2 months old already. Although I can't imagine or remember what life was like without her, it's still flown by. She is doing great and making us laugh every single day.
This month has been a lot of fun watching her do new things such as smile, hold her head up and even roll over. This little one is amazing and makes us so very happy. We have also joined a mommy & me group and Raegan has made a few new friends. She's the youngest of the group, but she'll take over soon enough :) We went to her first sing-a-long and story-time event and she loved it! She was very alert and taking it all in. Raegan is now also a regular at our soccer games as we knew she would be. It's a relief to know that she enjoys getting out of the house as much as we do and she behaves so we can keep up with the activities we love.
Enjoy some new photos of Raegan's 2 months of activities. Stay tuned for more of her adventures!

Rolling Over at 7 Weeks??!!
I'm not on the up and up on newborn activities and when they're supposed to do what, but I'm not sure if Raegan is supposed to be rolling over already! Isn't she just supposed to lay there for a few more weeks?! She is an active little one already and is definitely going to keep us busy!

Miss Raegan is Growing and Growing
Our little Raegan is not so little anymore...she is getting so big and doing all kinds of new things lately. I know it's only 6 1/2 weeks, but man it's going by so fast! We took her to her doctor this week and she is now 9 pounds, 12 ounces and 22 inches long. Looks like all that breast milk is working and helping her grow big and strong. Raegan is also enjoying her tummy time. She can hold her head up really well and has even rolled over a few times...accidentally of course. Gravity is an amazing thing. But it's just a sign of things to come and how she's going to keep us on our toes here soon enough. I have to admit, it's pretty nice having her immobile for the time being. It will become more challenging when she is on the move soon.
This week we were also blessed with Raegan's first diaper blowout. I'm sure that is going to happen more and more to, but I just hope she doesn't ruin all of her adorable outfits this way! :)

Raegan Blesses Us With Her First Smile
Ah, it finally came...the first smile!! Now, I can't guarantee that it wasn't gas causing all the excitement, but I'll take it as a smile. Either way, we were lucky enough to catch Raegan's glowing smile in this video:

Ringing in the New Year
This was our first New Year's Eve with our little Raegan and I assumed we would take it easy and stay in to avoid the mayhem, but then again that just wouldn't be the Kelly way. Raegan was a real trooper and ventured out to 2 NYE parties, making her rounds in Encinitas to spread her love to all her new friends. I was so happy to be able to take her out and enjoy a nice night with our friends.
Check out a few photos of Raegan's wild NYE out on the town.
